The Plank is long, demanding, shot-maker's course with trouble a-plenty if you can't keep the ball play.

Hole #1 - 420 Yard Par 4 - Slight dogleg right, down hill. Drive it between the 2 large fairway bunkers and you'll be left with an 8 or 9 iron to a relatively flat green. Good opportunity to start your round with a birdie.

Hole #2 - 605 Yard Par 5 - Hit a nice fade and you'll have a chance to go for the green in 2 through the opening in the trees. Layup short of the water to the right for a breathtaking vista.

Hole #3 - 179 Yard Par 3 - This island green slopes from back to front. A 7-iron properly struck will give you a good birdie opportunity.

Hole #4 - 493 Yard Par 4 - Hit it straight or the bunkers will force you to layup and a bogie will follow. Long iron 2nd shot to a well protected green make this a very demanding par 4. Watch out for the pot bunker greenside.

Hole #5 - 293 Yard Par 4 - If you are feeling gutsy go for the green with a well-struck 5-wood or lay-up to the corner of this 90 degree dogleg left hole
with a 5-iron and be left with a sand wedge to the 2-tier green.

Hole #6 - 448 Yard Par 4 - If you hit driver full bore you'll end up in a bunker or in the water that separates the fairway. Long uphill 2nd shot to a slopey green. Be happy with par here!

Hole #7 - 568 Yard Par 5 - Another risk and reward shot. Hit a driver to the last small fairway and you can get home in 2. Otherwise you'll need to layup over the pretty blue flowers that protect the fairway in front of the green. Another reasonable chance for birdie.

Hole #8 - 141 Yard Par 3 - Green slopes from back to front and right to left so take a little more club than you think and watch it suck back to the hole!!

Hole #9 - 627 Yard Par 5 - A true '3' shot par 5. Driver, 5-Wood will leave you with a 9-iron to a VERY severely sloped green. Try to be a little long with your approach.

Hole #10 - 448 Yard Par 4 - Split the middle with a good drive and you'll be left with a middle iron to a pretty flat green and another birdie opportunity.

Hole #11 - 187 Yard Par 3 - A 4 or 5-iron over the abyss. Try to stay below the hole for an uphill putt.

Hole #12 - 602 Yard Par 5 - Hit a drive to the corner and your left with a big decision - go for the green, which is the 'blue flag' on the right, or lay up to the 'blue flag' on the left with a 3 or 4-iron. The green sits down in a valley 100 feet below the fairway and can be reached from up to 280 yards. Get there in 2 and you have a great chance for an eagle!! Interesting Par 5!

Hole #13 - 389 Yard Par 4 - Water runs down the entire left side of this hole and a huge bunker guards the right. Hit it down the gut and be left with a wedge shot. Get on the right level of this sloping green and a birdie could be yours.

Hole #14 - 504 Yard Par 4 - Split the middle and you'll be left with a long iron or fairway wood to this tough par 4. Par is a good score here.

Hole #15 - 139 Yard Par 3 - A well struck 8-iron will leave you a 10-12 footer for birdie. Get it now because it's a tough finish ahead!!

Hole #16 - 439 Yard Par 4 - Dogleg right downhill with a downhill 2nd shot to a pretty flat green. Miss the bunker's off the tee though!!

Hole #17 - 435 Yard Par 4 - Drive it down the left side to avoid having to hit your 2nd shot over the pine trees to the uphill well-protected green. Par is a good score!!

Hole #18 - 507 Yard Par 4 - Avoid the bunker on the right and you'll have a fairway wood to a pretty flat green. It takes 2 good shots to get home!!

Enjoy the course. Par will be a good score and if you can get it under par with breezy conditions my hat is off to you.

If you enjoyed the tough test try "Old Quarry Lake" another demanding test that goes around and over an old man-made quarry.

Thanks!!
